2011 Community Celebration Calendar Drive Starts May 1st

Once again it's time for the annual Sunfield Community Celebration Calendar sale. This will be the 42nd year these calendars have been available in the community, and the nineteenth year that the Sunfield Area Sponsors of Programs for Youth (S.P.Y.'s) have been in charge of the project. The Community Celebration Calendars have long been a well received and looked forward to part of the fabric of the Sunfield area community as a whole.

The price is just $4 per calendar; and just $2 for senior citizens, (age 60 to 69), and again this year, anyone age 70 and older will get their calendar and listings free. The calendar price includes the listings of birthdays and anniversaries of immediate family members living in the household. Additional listings may be added and are just 50¢ each. The calendar year runs from September '09 through September '10 (it is a thirteen month calendar).

This year we are running the project as we have the past couple of years, in that we will not be doing the usual door to door canvassing. Instead, we are continuing our mailing and/or call in process.

As with every S.P.Y. event or project, all money raised will be put back into the community through various youth oriented programs such as sports sponsorships; park and playground facility maintenance and improvement; classroom educational enhancements; and the scholarship fund.

These calendars have grown to become a real tradition in the Sunfield community and many people look forward to them. We sincerely hope that you will participate and make our calendars a complete reflection of the total community! Thank you for your continued support.
