Sunfield Area SPY's Report---2/11/10
SPY's Euchre Championship Is This Saturday Night!
Hey-Hey-Hey! The return of the fantastic Sunfield Area Sponsors of Programs for Youth (SPY's) annual Euchre Tournament; or "The Showdown On Main Street" as it is more commonly known; is coming up this Saturday, February 13th. This will be this popular event’s 28th year. This event is for SPY members and their euchre partners only. This pasteboard classic will be held at the Sunfield Community Rooms, with the doors opening at 7 PM, and the first hand dealt at 8 PM sharp. Some munchies and refreshments will be furnished. However, each couple is asked to please bring a dessert or a hors d'oeuvre dish.
There will be a $5 per couple entry fee charged. Prizes for top male and female players, as well as various other categories, will be awarded. We will once again be using a progressive format, where the partners change every game and winners advance to another table.
Please call event chairman Craig “King Of Kards” Cappon (517-331-0219) if you plan to attend or need further information.

And last, but certainly not least, a 1,000 thank-you’s to the super cooks who's dishes make this dinner a hit! Thank you again!!! These are the folks who make the dinner a smashing success. Without their efforts and expertise at hunting and cooking, and their willingness to help out, there would be no dinner.
When it was all said and done, a great time was had by all; many stories were told; even more lies were passed along as the gospel truth; and some fantastic wild game dishes were enjoyed! Not to mention, a significant amount of money was raised for the SPY's Youth Activities Trust Fund. Thank you again one and all!
One final Wild Game Dinner related note from Buddy-----Did you know that the word vegetarian is an old Indian word for “doesn’t hunt well”?
