2. Ice-proof your windows with vinegar! Just fill a spray bottle with three parts vinegar to one part water & spritz it on all your windows at night. In the morning, they'll be clear of icy mess. Vinegar contains acetic acid, which raises the melting point of water---preventing water from freezing!

+ The “Sports Trivia Question Just For ‘Smarty-Pants’ Mac Cready Question-Of-The-Week Answer: Benny Friedman is credited with legitimizing the forward pass in football. Born in Cleveland, Friedman became an All-American quarterback with the University of Michigan in the 1920’s. In 1928, he led the NFL in both rushing and passing---the only player ever to do so---and with the New York Giants in 1929 he threw 29 touchdown passes, more than three times as many as any other player. The fan interest generated by his success led to rules changes favoring the passing game and the introduction of a slimmer ball that was easier to throw.
